Sur les chemins de la Grande Île, loin du monde, la musique rayonne et on danse toute la nuit. Ici en Belgique, les trois artistes d’Antsa ne veulent pas entretenir la flamme d’une tradition : ils s’en inspirent, ils la façonnent comme de l’argile et la réinventent tous les jours dans un esprit d’ouverture avec les autres musiques qu’ils côtoient chez nous. Les voix graves et chaudes de trois musiciens claquent comme les vagues de l’océan Indien. Rythmé par les pas et les percussions subtiles de Taliké, caressé par les cordes de Charles et Seva, l’esprit des chants malgaches nous envahit.

Antsa On the paths of the Grande Île, far from the world, music radiates and people dance all night long. Here in Belgium, the three artists of Antsa do not want to tend the fires of a tradition : they draw their inspiration from it in order to shape it and then constantly reinvent it on a daily basis in a spirit of open-mindedness towards the other forms of music that they come across here. The deep and warm voices of the three musicians slam like the waves of the Indian Ocean. The spirit of the Malagasy songs overwhelms us through the steps and subtle percussions of Taliké and the stroked cords of Charles and Seva.
