21h30 : Keyvan Chemirani – Hâl – Le voyage amoureux

IRAN / FRANCE

Keyvan Chemirani – Hâl With Hâl, Keyvan Chemirani, returning to the Festival d’Art, creates a luxurious jewel showcase, sometimes silky and bright, sometimes vivid and lively for the charismatic voice of his sister Maryam. Relying on the smoothness of his musical skills of the Indian santur and his brilliant ingenuity on the Persian zarb, Keyvan surrounds himself with true experts: Sylvain Barou the flutist virtuoso with his warm and deep sound, his brother Bijan Chemirani, graceful and tender on the saz and with an amazing precision on the percussions. This loving journey explores the oriental modality (Iran, India, Turkey…) throughout original compositions and as a bonus a few stops in Celtic lands. Let us move closer to the hâl, this ecstatic state between dreaming and awakening that one seeks in the skilful music of the East.
