Le projet Dareyn est un quartet réuni autour de la joueuse turque de kemençe Emine Bostancı qui vous emmènera d’Istanbul aux confins de la route de la soie. Accompagnée par la violoncelliste Maya Fridman, le pianiste Franz von Chossy (remplacé par Tony Roe) et le percussionniste et batteur Vinsent Planjer, la musique d’Emine Bostancı est très visuelle et cinématographique. Le jeu d’archet est quasi omniprésent, l’usage des voix est minimal, les rythmes sont saccadés, le fil est tendu… Leur approche très moderne de la musique modale provoque un effet addictif à leur musique. Dareyn’s project is a quartet united around the Turkish kemenche player Emine Bostanci. Dareyn combines the mystical sound of the kemenche – with its heritage of traditional music originating from Istanbul and the Silk Road – and the deep-rooted sound of the cello in a contemporary fashion. Accompanied by the cello player Maya Fridman, the pianist Franz von Chossy (replaced by Tony Roe) and the percussionist and drummer Vinsent Planjer, Emine Bostanci’s music is a very visual and cinematographic one. Their repertoire takes its inspiration from the beauty of modality, the dynamic character of bowing and the rich world of rhythms. Their music, through blended improvisations and unique compositions, creates dialogues where the existence of unspoken narratives is present in the imagination of each listener. Let yourself be carried away by a musical film through the power of your imagination.
